Hi! I’m Emma Hood, a senior student at dance republic, i have been at DR since i was 2.5 and have never looked back. I help out with the minis and have recently started doing our behind the scenes interviews at shows and competitions.

It’s such a positive and inclusive dance team, the teachers include everyone and will hear everyone

From experience, Dance Republic offers many opportunities to build many skills like determination and resilience, it is also where I have met many of my best friends. Everyone is there for the same reason and all want to do well, so you are likely to find many people just like you

At DR we offer loads of exciting experiences ; such as our exam days prepping you for the further future, our awesome day trips to edinburgh with workshops and shows, competitons with our comp team (that blog will be hectic) and our summer showcase is our biggest hit where you get to show your family and friends what you have been working on and a brilliant way to build confidence in dancing and a stage. This is only the beginning.

From being a mini at DR to a senior and now teaching the minis, (as most of the seniors do) it really is the best experience with the best dance family.
